As part of the integration of new students, Saint-G\u00e9raud Vocational High School organized a special week that was cross-disciplinary and focused on a common theme: Michelin<\/strong><\/a>, <\/strong>\u00a0the iconic and pioneering materials science company, based in Clermont-Ferrand.<\/p>\n

This project brought together students from different programs\u2014 Second year CAP in Signage and Graphic Design<\/a><\/strong>, Second year of vocational baccalaureate in Crafts and Artistic Crafts, Visual Merchandising option<\/a><\/strong>, and Second year of the Professional Baccalaureate in Crafts and Art Trades, Visual Communication Plurimedia option<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 around a common objective: to explore the personality of the Michelin company, its commitments, the values defended through its brand communication; to exploit its brand territory (graphic universe, logo, slogan) while developing specific skills in each area.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The integration day<\/strong> from the vocational high school, last September 10th, allowed the second-year students to visit The Michelin Adventure<\/em> in Clermont-Ferrand. With a 2,000 m\u00b2 scenographic tour and an original, interactive presentation, the students discovered the history, present, and future of the Auvergne-based company. This outing offered an immersion into the heart of an international company that combines technological innovation, environmental respect, and social commitment. The students were able to concretely discover the different facets of the group, notably the production processes, logistics, and research and development. This visit fueled their reflection and served as a prerequisite for this standardized week.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Thus, specific projects were developed in each sector, each implementing its own skills and know-how.<\/p>

The second-year CAP Signage and Graphic Decoration students were tasked with creating two totems. These had to feature the mascot, the famous Bibendum,<\/em> a must-have element of Michelin's corporate identity. The key phrase: adapting the mascot to each situation it faces...<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

In the second year of the Bac Pro AMA program, Visual Merchandising option, students focused on the design and 3D realization of a Michelin stand for the trade show. Made in Auvergne<\/em> 2025 in Cournon d'Auvergne. The objective was not only to present Michelin product ranges (latest innovations as well as historical products) but also to leverage and respect the company's visual identity.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Finally, the second-year Bac Pro AMA students specializing in Visual Communication and Multimedia mobilized their creative talent in designing visual campaigns highlighting Michelin's environmental commitment. Each project, while leveraging Michelin's strong visual identity, reflects the specificities of the vocational high school Saint-G\u00e9raud's programs, thus offering students a unique opportunity to engage with concrete challenges while developing their skills.<\/p>

This work week concluded with a presentation of achievements to students in their final year of vocational Baccalaureate and CAP programs. A morning rich in exchanges and discoveries, during which the second-year students had the opportunity to share the fruits of their labor and compare their ideas with those of more experienced students. Each program had the opportunity to present its project, and the most innovative achievements were awarded. This highlighted the students' talent and commitment, as well as the pedagogical richness of a cross-curricular approach.<\/p>

This project centered around Michelin is not only an exploration of a major company, but also a demonstration of the values that Saint-G\u00e9raud High School wishes to impart to its students: innovation, collaborative work, and the ability to adapt to current technological and environmental challenges.<\/p>

Through this cross-curricular thematic week, students not only strengthened their technical skills but also learned the importance of working together towards a common goal, while ensuring adherence to precise specifications.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Bravo to the teachers who initiated the various projects and to all the educational supervisors who made it possible to carry out the ambitious program planned, and congratulations to all the participating students for their creativity.
