What is the STDA2 technological baccalaureate?<\/h2>\n

The STD2A Technological Baccalaureate<\/strong> (design sciences and applied arts technologies) is a degree<\/strong> from French higher secondary education which allows students to specialize in the fields of design and applied arts. <\/p>\n

It is a three-year program after middle school and allows students to continue their studies for a 2-year or 3-year degree in art, design, fashion, or communication schools, or to enter the job market directly.<\/p>\n

The technological baccalaureate STD2A includes two specialization subjects:
Design, which focuses on the creation and conception of industrial products, furniture, jewelry, clothing, packaging, signage, etc.<\/p>\n

Applied arts, which concerns the creation and design of artistic products, graphics, decoration, advertising, multimedia, etc.
The STD2A technological baccalaureate is accessible to students who have obtained their middle school diploma and who chose the \u00abapplied arts\u00bb option in middle school. Students can also join this program from any other technological or general baccalaureate program, provided they have prior skills and knowledge in the fields of design and applied arts.<\/p>\n

BAC STD2A Technical Baccalaureate Education<\/h2>\n

During their studies, students in the STD2A technological baccalaureate take theoretical courses (art history, design history, general culture, etc.) and practical courses (drawing, modeling, computer graphics, photography, video, etc.).<\/p>\n

They also carry out creation and design projects within their specialized teaching and put their acquired knowledge and skills into practice.<\/p>\n

At Lyc\u00e9e Saint G\u00e9raud, we also offer personalized support and guidance with career choices. This support is spread throughout the year with a total of 54 dedicated hours. Additionally, we offer technological instruction delivered in Modern Language A. For one hour per week, a class is co-taught by an Applied Arts teacher and an English teacher.<\/p>\n
