The strengths of Lycée Saint Géraud
A private vocational high school offering programs in Design and Craftsmanship
The Saint-Géraud private vocational high school has decided to specialize in the fields of communication, graphic design, and the arts. To enroll in one of these vocational programs means wanting to train and acquire a professional skill set, to master artisanal know-how, while also embracing contemporary creative methodologies linked to design practices.
The CAP Signage and Graphic Design, the BAC PRO AMA Multimédia Visual Communication, and the BAC PRO AMA Visual Merchandising are all diplomas focused on graphic arts, each with its own professional specialty.
The private vocational high school has created numerous partnerships with local institutions and professionals. Through these partnerships, the work of students from various programs is showcased, giving the entire school broad visibility.
The dynamics initiated are all ways to make sectors work together, through demanding and educational projects.
In addition, students are regularly welcomed into various partner structures to complete their Professional Training Period (PFMP).
A pleasant setting for the Saint-Géraud private vocational high school
The high school is located in the very heart of the historic center of the city of Aurillac in the Cantal department. The city is in the center of the Massif Central, so you benefit from a pleasant setting around the high school, as well as exceptional air quality. Near the city of Aurillac, numerous activities are available, allowing you to relax on weekends and evenings after classes. Among these, you will of course find ski resorts, but also many hiking trails. We can also mention the presence of numerous castles to visit throughout the year.
Lycée Saint-Géraud has chosen to specialize in communication and arts by offering only diplomas and training related to these fields. For example, you will find our vocational baccalaureate in crafts and applied arts, where students are supported in their artistic development. We aim to remain a small, human-sized private vocational high school. Each year, approximately 400 students are trained at our institution. We also have the advantage of offering diplomas ranging from -3 years post-high school to +5 years post-high school. This wide range of training allows students to remain in the same institution throughout their studies and thus become familiar with the city. We also offer a boarding school service within the high school, allowing students from faraway to lodge directly at the school.
