Erasmus+ : How the Program Works
Erasmus+, a synonym for personal and professional enrichment, aims to facilitate mobility projects for teachers and students. This program supports the fields of training, youth, education, and sport.
Thanks to Erasmus+ programme, your projects and goals are financially supported. The program is primarily intended to help young people, staff, and trainees travel to all corners of the world to acquire skills and increase their employability.
This EU program, with its ever-increasing budget, offers more and more opportunities to combine travel and training in a foreign country. Thanks to the 2021-2022 program implemented a few months ago, our young people are at the center of the ecological issues that surround us and have a real place in democratic life. Furthermore, this program helps to strengthen projects such as inclusivity, the fight against climate change, digital technology, and the fundamental values and rights of the European Union.
Participating in an Erasmus+ program means pursuing various enriching objectives!
Here's how we detailed them in our international development strategy accompanying our latest Erasmus+ charter renewal application.
The objectives we are pursuing through international openness are of several kinds:
- Improve students' professional and personal skills (soft skills) through a mobility experience (studies or internships) in Europe.
- Develop teachers' skills through (ideally collaborative) teaching or training activities, particularly in the fields of entrepreneurship and supporting individuals with specific needs.
- Promote quality improvement, innovation, and excellence through transnational cooperation.
- Improve the visibility of our institution by developing a dynamic international image and partnerships (businesses and institutions).
Our goal is to improve the alignment between our training programs and the evolution of the job market on one hand, and with the evolution of the population we welcome at the institution on the other hand, by leveraging our international partnership.
Erasmus+ program participants
Regarding internships, studies, training, and teaching mobilities, the targets/beneficiaries of our actions will primarily be students, but also, and increasingly so, teachers and staff of the institution.
These objectives are translated into action in our participation in Erasmus+ programmes VET (Vocational Education and Training) and Erasmus+ HE (Higher Education) which you will find on their dedicated pages.
In summary, the Erasmus program is an excellent opportunity for students, teachers, and academics to discover new cultures and gain enriching life and study experiences abroad, while contributing to the development of European integration.
Advantages of the Erasmus+ Programme
The Erasmus+ program is advantageous for participants in many ways. Firstly, contrary to popular belief, participants are not only students but also educational staff. Furthermore, thanks to this program, you will gain very valuable experience abroad, which can be highlighted on your resume.
A study also shows that the unemployment rate among young adults who have had an experience abroad is approximately 25% lower than that of people who have not had such an experience. Finally, thanks to the Erasmus+ program, you’ll significantly improve your language skills. This is a very important and highly valued asset in the professional world.

Mobility for vocational high school students through the Erasmus+ program
The adventure began in 2010 with the Leonardo program. We offer high school students in vocational baccalaureate programs the opportunity to complete part of their internships abroad, in Europe. Over time, we have been developing our mobility program to make it more attractive. This mobility program is accessible to both high schools and teachers.
