The artistic and technical skills of the holder of the Vocational Baccalaureate in Applied Arts and Media - Visual Communication They are used to participate in the creation, finalization, and digital control of multimedia communication projects inherent to the field of graphic design. Here are some examples of projects carried out at the school: illustration, posters, corporate and institutional communication, magazine and daily press, publishing, packaging, advertising, signage, visual identity...
They must be able to carry out graphic projects combining knowledge and practice of production techniques, including computer techniques (DTP). They are responsible for all or part of the development of digital documents intended for printing or distribution on all multimedia platforms. Furthermore, the international business context makes proficiency in the English language necessary.
Contents of the BAC PRO AMA Visual Communication Multi-media
Training at a private vocational high school, 30 hours per week, includes vocational subjects (15 hours), general subjects (12 hours), and dedicated hours for reinforcing skills (3 hours), personalized support, and guidance on educational choices. In the final year of vocational school, this guidance includes preparation for professional integration or higher education, depending on the students' plans. Starting in the fall of 2021, Spanish will be available as a second foreign language.
Internships
The total duration of the professional training periods is 22 weeks. The duration of each period cannot be less than 3 weeks. They can take place with an artisan, in an SME, in a communication department, in advertising agencies, or with printers. Students in the European section will be offered the possibility of completing a professional training period in an EU country within the framework of the Erasmus+ program.
Further studies after a vocational baccalaureate in visual communication and multimedia
In our institution, students interested in higher education can apply for the DN MADe (National Diploma in Art and Design Crafts) (Bachelor's degree level) in the specialties of Graphic Design, Digital, or Textile Design. They can also apply to our institution for a BTS Communication
BAC PRO holders can also submit a portfolio (book) to higher art and design schools and prepare for entrance exams for the Fine Arts and Decorative Arts schools.
