Bruno Verger and Eve Derdaele brought back this collaborative project from a prestigious classical music festival, organized annually by the municipality of Alytus.
Classical music: A complete change of pace for Saint-Géraud's professional programs, more accustomed to the powerful sound of electric guitars (La Coopé, le Sismographe, Hibernarock...) than to the refined and well-tailored aesthetic of string quintets... But it takes more than that to deter us, and the challenge was met with considerable brilliance, as evidenced by the results achieved after fifteen intensive days.
However, let's clarify that the students weren't listening to Mozart and Schubert while working: it was actually Radiohead and Rammstein that accompanied the elegant layouts composed for Alytaus, using Didone fonts and period engravings. You can't change your stripes!
