From November 13 to 17, 2023, Ève Derdaele (English teacher) and Bruno Verger (applied arts teacher) traveled to Lithuania, specifically to Alytus, a small town near the capital, Vilnius. Objective: to develop a new partnership.

Twice already, the Saint-Géraud vocational high school had collaborated with APRC (the Lithuanian equivalent of a vocational high school) in Alytus, hosting teachers and students in Aurillac. This year, we decided to return the visit. Our goal was to broaden our collaboration within the framework of‘Erasmus, in order to find an internship placement for our booming European section.

Ève Derdaele and Bruno Verger met with the directors of the Erasmus program there, as well as with officials from the city's cultural center. Numerous project possibilities emerged: flyers, posters, booklets... The interest in art is notable throughout the city, which boasts many exhibitions.
International outreach is an important area of focus for Saint-Géraud High School. We are committed to enriching our partnerships and introducing our students to different practices and cultures.
