St-Géraud High School's Internationalization Strategy
The St-Géraud High School of Communication is involved in international openness since 2009, notably through its participation in European Union mobility programs, Leonardo da Vinci and Erasmus, then Erasmus+.
This is a Major issue for the establishment of the fact of its landlocked geographical location (in the heart of the Auvergne Region), and the training programs offered there. Indeed, primarily focused on The Design, Applied Arts and The Crafts, these programs are based on a professional partnership and Strong local and regional culture and anchored in time.
Our international expansion strategy relies on Erasmus and Leonardo da Vinci programs for over 10 years, first by the Internship mobility in a vocational high school (7 successive programs between 2009 and 2019), which we extended to post-secondary education (Erasmus Charter from 2010 to 2013, then from 2014 to 2020).
Since 2011, we have been members of a Consortium led by ITEC Boisfleury-Philippine Duchesne de La Tronche in Isère (38), with the Lycée St Louis-St Bruno institutions in Lyon and Lycée St Ambroise in Chambéry. These 4 institutions offer their students the possibility of’do their internships in Europe, and since 2020, of’study abroad for a semester.
Thanks to the international component of our school project, we aim to develop our dynamic image as a school focused on openness, both to local level What’international. Our intention is to’open international mobility to all students. That's why we Let's develop projects for vocational high schools as well as for post-secondary education, which are presented in the section dedicated to Erasmus+.
