Zombie Zombie

1st Year Vocational Baccalaureate in Visual Communication and Multimedia

New concert at Le Sismographe this Friday, April 12th, a new mission for the six 1st Year Pro CVPM students welcomed for an internship at the school, under the banner SG Factory How to visually represent «Hallucinatory Journey,» the title of the show proposed by the group Zombie Zombie, which is as visual as it is musical, using images by Philippe Druillet, and accompanied by the experimental light show created live by François Decourbe (a veteran who once worked with Gong, Frank Zappa, and other notorious eccentrics...)?

After quite a bit of trial and error, Axel's project was chosen: a highly psychedelic graphic composition, where fluid shapes and distorted typography emerge from the hazy brain of an isolated astronaut, a likely cousin of Kubrick's hero, unwillingly embarked on a space odyssey... that overwhelms him.

To bring this sci-fi trip to life with color, we're opting for an adventurous solution: mixing several inks on the screen-printing screen to create random gradient effects that will make each poster unique. Two versions are tested: a first reddish-orange one that isn't always conclusive, and another pink-purple one that wins us over.

At the stand set up in the Sismographe's lobby, posters will fly off the shelves after the concert, with the bonus of a smile from the SG Factory team, always valiant, even on the first night of spring break.
