On the occasion of the group's visit The Limiñanas in concert at Seismograph, On Tuesday, November 18th in Aurillac, students from Saint-Géraud high school carried out a large-scale artistic project, combining graphic design, publishing, screen printing, animation, and meeting with artists.
A rich, inventive, collective effort carried out with incredible energy and infectious enthusiasm!
A screen print to color, created especially for the concert
To celebrate the event, the students of 1st Vocational Baccalaureate in Visual Communication (CVPM) imagined and produced a Screen printing to color sold the evening of the concert.
The visual, created by Lili Stairs, and the typefaces, signed Axel Campaore, both students in the class, are creating an original, pop, and completely customizable poster.
A popular keepsake, which everyone could take home and color in as they wished. This creation was a great success Seismograph.
An animated clip shown to artists
Creativity didn't stop there! In addition to screen printing, the senior class CAP Signage and Graphic Decorations made a animated clip, who was also introduced to Les Limiñanas. This video was made from the sets they had imagined to accompany the music «I love the world.».
This video, entirely produced by the students, was shown to Les Limiñanas during a meet-and-greet at Le Sismographe. A powerful and emotional moment, as the students were so proud to present their work to the artists themselves.
An exclusive meeting with Les Limiñanas
This presentation gave the students full confidence for what's next. A special meeting with Lionel and Marie, the two band members.
The CAP SDG Terminale students presented the sets created for the music video illustrating «I love the world.».
The students of 1st PRO CVPM, for their part, unveiled the screen print created for the occasion as well as a 45 rpm record booklet, entirely imagined around the universe of the group. This small work of 40 pages, both funny, quirky, and graphically rich, brings together illustrations, games, coloring pages… A unique object, created collectively and offered to artists.
This work was passionately supervised by Fred Le Falher, Audrey Guinet and Sylvie Glatz, who accompanied the students from the beginning to the end of this beautiful creative adventure.
A strong comeback, a concert fueled by incredible energy
The afternoon concluded with a commemorative photo: the students surrounding Lionel and Marie, with in the foreground the Vehicle customized by the CAP class, a support on which their music video was based. A powerful image, symbolizing the pride and commitment of the youth in this project.
In the evening, it's time for the concert! In front of a Packed seismograph, The Limiñanas delivered a powerful show, driven by incredible energy... and the students of Saint-Géraud, joined by teachers and staff from the high school who came to support the project, rose to the occasion by creating an exceptional atmosphere right in front of the stage.
The next day, a message sent from Dijon deeply touched the team:
«We're in Dijon, we're going on stage soon! Thanks everyone for yesterday, meeting the students, the great work, and the atmosphere you created during the concert!!! It was wild! We were really touched! Thanks a thousand times! We love the game book, the music video, the screen printing, the artwork, the tone, the humor, and everything!!! This recognition, as sincere as it is unexpected, will be long remembered and crowns a complete artistic adventure, from the work in the studio to the encounters with artists and the stage.
