Our commitments to international openness

Our institution has been formally committed to internationalization for over 10 years. Originally built mainly through the personal networks of some staff members, the partnership has grown over the years, primarily through the mobility referent training organized by the former Auvergne Region.

Since the start of the Erasmus and Leonardo programs, we have hosted students from Finland (8), Spain (4), and Germany (7), mostly for training mobility periods of 2 to 8 weeks.

The European section of the Bac Pro AM CVPM has developed a partnership with Glasgow Kelvin College (GKC) and the music label Electronic Honey since 2017. Through Erasmus+ Vocational Training projects, the goal is to organize visual communication projects for various GKC departments (posters, flyers for exhibitions, etc.) or for music groups under the Electronic Honey label. These projects, prepared in France, are then carried out on-site during two-week stays at GKC premises. The unique aspect of this work is the implementation of screen printing techniques, following the «Gig Poster» method practiced by students within the SG Factory projects (see the school's cultural section).

The stays are prepared beforehand with the students, who are involved during the trips in the management and organization of the cultural outings on site. This helps to develop the students' independence, thus adding value to Erasmus+ mobility.

Scholarships largely cover expenses related to transportation, accommodation, and food.

We also welcomed teachers from the United Kingdom (Glasgow Kelvin College), Finland (SEDU of Seinajöki), Spain (Granada), and Germany (B5 Nuremberg). In each case, these were «job shadowing» type training mobilities, related to the implementation of partnership projects or the hosting of their students.

To date, around a hundred high school students (vocational high school students and general students) have been able to benefit from an internship period in a European country, and for post-baccalaureate students:

• Incoming mobility: 12 students and 6 staff members (including 5 teachers)
• Outgoing mobility (internships) since 2013: over 40 students (2-month internships or study semesters) and 9 teachers

Two interinstitutional agreements for Higher Education have been concluded with the University of Ljubljana and ESDI Barcelona. Three interinstitutional agreements for vocational high school have been signed with Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu (Romania), Glasgow Kelvin College (UK), and SEDU Seinajöki (Finland).

More than ever, international openness is an asset for our programs, not only in terms of attractiveness but above all for providing significant added value to the degree our students are preparing for.
