Scouting in Ireland

In the spring, two post-baccalaureate professors went to explore internship opportunities in Ireland!

March 28: visit to an «Avoca Powerscourt» store, which offers a vast range of retail items, including clothing for women and men, gifts, toys and children's clothing, homeware, and much more. Their Wicklow factory, where they were able to discover the weaving of several materials such as Donegal tweed, mohair, and cashmere, is an hour's drive away.

Here is a video to discover the factory: https://m.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=2&v=fGMAwhw-dl4

March 30th: discovery of County Donegal in northwest Ireland, heading to the Donegal Studio, workshops for traditional hand-weaving crafts. https://studiodonegal.ie/
